Traveling and exploring the world, a young Lord Byron stepped foot in Albania. As soon as he saw the land he was amazed by the hospitality and generosity Ali Pasa had shown. In this composition, Ali has invited Byron in his Castle, treating him like his own son. Often Byron has referred to seeing Ali as a fatherly figure. The concubines are serving him, while Lord Byron seems at ease and feels in his own home. - The Artwork
