A landscape of a village is shown (Duhanas, south-east of Berat). Lush trees along a stream and freshly worked walnut stock are featured. The subjects appear in the early afternoon sunlight of a spring day. The illumination of the light (coming from the right) creates this chromatic contrast that varies from strong to light greens giving the sense of the movement of the trees, the atmosphere of the village, the fresh air. This noise is broken by the calmness of an almost clear sky, creating a visual-emotional balance.
The technique used is plein air (painting directly in nature), the fast and pasty brushstrokes testify to a quick interpretation to capture the impressions of that moment. Everything remains an experience/product of the first. There is nothing added, modified from the photo or from the mind, so in this sense the work remains very real.
